After September 11th 2001, I strolled the NYC streets, I had to see. Many saw horror, and that was obvious, but I also saw something else
I saw the human spirit, and American patriotism in plain sight. I saw the American flag, and many men and women that said I pledge to PROTECT AND SERVE.
In respect to those who serve our country in any and all capacities THANK YOU!

I hope you enjoy my series. It was very thereputic for me and It means a lot to me. I hate when people try to forget what was lost. I say remember the beauty of it and remember the patriotic spirit the people showed after. I had the priviledge of eating, dancing in "top of the Tower" resturant. I saw the top, I walked the halls. I miss the buildings in the skyline as I drive in new jersey or coast in the water by boat.
PHOTO Details: Shot with Pentex 35mm 28-300 Tamrn lens. Scanned from B/W photo. Taken October 2001 while picking up some NYC friends. You can see the mist and debri in the air of the background.

Great shot! I really like the tones of the B&W and how well they work with the subject. personay i think that this just would not be remotely as powerful as it is if it were in color. I also like how spontanious and un planned this shot is it gives this image this very journalistic quality. Nice work man!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
